David Gaynes has directed a movie about the Hubble telescope and is taking it on a roadshow across the US. He'll be in the area on June 31st and it could be cool to kick off the movie in the space.

Committee - Basement Lab

The space has been identified as a perfect place to do a little micro-brewing and as well, a darkroom setup.  There are some medium to major tasks that will be required to ready the space for such activities.

1: General clean up (FREE!!!)- This entails wiping down all surfaces and refrigerator with disinfectant (Mike M. has a big bottle of commercial strength cleaner) to both kill mold and prep for painting in order to cover the mold and in general, to lighten up the place.

C2000 LED Experimenters KIT

Submitted by Ryan Zaveruha on

So I got this C2000 LED Experimenter's Kit from my Texas Instruments representative.  I have it setup on one of the PCs running the color light demo.  Everyone feel free to mess with it, the documentation is in the box next to the PC.  The kit itself supplies a license for developing on the kit via the USB. The kit includes a Piccolo microcontroller which has dsp functionality.  This may be a useful platform for the sign contol, and they have reference circuits for powering the LEDs.
