Stop the Bleed Kit/Traumatic Bleed Equipment

Submitted by Kyle Glose on

We work with a large number of machines that can sever arteries, incur deep puncture wounds, and cause life threatening bleeds. Even though the fire department is close by, a traumatic bleed can lead to death in five minutes or less. Stop the Bleed makes traumatic bleed kits which include hemostatic gauze, tourniquets, and other traumatic bleed supplies like fabric shears and gloves.

For use with sheet metal an wire. It is different than the shear/brake/roll, in that it uses a gear reduction system to multiply the force on the metal. It is used to compress the metal, giving the user the ability to flatten sheet metal, change it’s gauge, forge it, etc. It is an incredibly useful tool for metal sculpture and jewelry making.

Hardened Steel Anvil (100lbs or heavier) with at least one horn

Really crucial metalworking tool for metal sculpture, forging, and many jewelry applications.

The prices can be highly variable, but they tend to be $5-9/pound new, and about $3-5/pound used.

Also: we don't *need* a forge for an anvil to be an incredibly useful, meaningful addition to our metalworking capabilities. It has enormous use in many other metalworking capacities.
