This meetup is dedicated to the design practices, technologies, insights and opportunities around the next frontier information access - the Internet of Things (IoT). We want to cross-pollinate ideas from engineers, designers, researchers, data scientists and entrepreneurs to create meaningful and tangible solutions that will make information access more human, ubiquitous and commercially viable.
We will get the conversation started by a quick presentation by practitioners in the field.
- Michael Queralt of Queralt Inc will talk about Radio-frequency identification (RFID)
- Ryan Zaveruha, Engineering Manager, and Frank Pelliccio at Sensor Switch will talk about WiFi and developing embedded systems.
- Rich Rogers, Developer of the HERMS (Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash) Automated Brewing system, will talk about using sensors and Arduio in the brewing system.
We will start gathering at 5:30 and presenters will start around 6pm.
