I find myself wanting to make something that will last. I like the idea of making a set of knives I will have and maintain for the rest of my life or making a coffee table that will outlast me, or making something with the intention of saving money on the thing but spending just as much because I bought a bunch of tools but also learned so much in the process. Makes being an independent contractor more difficult but i have a lot of great stories to go with it.
My wheelhouses include Smithing, Knifemaking, Wood Turning, Milling boards, Spalting, Leatherwork, Glassblowing, Ceramics, Brewing, Distilling, Gardening and playing Dwarf Fortress too much. Looking to get into all these things(minus DF) a bit more as time goes on. more recently got back into CNC, Lasers and some 3D printing for metal castings to enhance my crafting. Who knows what will be next?
