MakeHaven Main Space
The main makerspace and connected shops. This is located at 770 Chapel Street. Registered participants should ring the MakeHaven labeled doorbell. They will be directed down a long hallway, and down a set of stairs to our basement workshop.
This 2-part workshop series (dates: 6/11th & 6/12th) is geared toward the beginner-beginner or someone with a little coding experience.
In this workshop, you will learn the building blocks of creating a web site.
HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is a coding language which builds the foundation of a website, and CSS, (Cascading Styles Sheets) is the coding language responsible for styling (colors, fonts, position).
Through a series of short tutorials and lectures, you will be able to code basic websites using HTML and CSS and gain a fundamental understanding of designing for web.

What am I going to get from this course?
Basic knowledge of designing, creating, and editing websites using HTML and CSS.
Understanding of basic internet concepts (websites, hosting, domain registration, file management).

People who want to better manage their website.
People who want to expand their skill set.
People who want to become more efficient with Wordpress or other CMS (content managment systems)
