MakeHaven Main Space
The main makerspace and connected shops. This is located at 770 Chapel Street. Registered participants should ring the MakeHaven labeled doorbell. They will be directed down a long hallway, and down a set of stairs to our basement workshop.
The temps are dropping and it's time to get "sew" cozy. Why not learn a new sewing skill and make an awesome thing for you or someone you like a lot?
Make a set of pajamas!
In this class you will learn a variety of garment skills by creating a set of pajamas. Jen will walk the class through a step-by-step process from choosing the correct size based on measurements to finishing touches. Along the way you'll learn tips and tricks for adjusting for size, cutting out fabric and proper techniques that will transfer to whatever projects catches your attention next.
Participants should be familiar with sewing machine operations, but no significant skill is required. All materials will be provided. However, if you have a fabric that you would like to use you are welcome to bring that -- flannel or fleece recommended for winter, nothing stretchy or delicate; for kid sizes, 3 yards are required. Adults call for 5 yards.
