What to Expect:
We’ll walk through safe machine setup, basic design in Carbide Create, and how to run a job from beginning to end. This is a badge-focused checkout session, designed to make sure you can use the Shapeoko safely and independently.
Want to take your CNC skills further? We also offer a bi-monthly VCarve class that dives deeper into design and toolpath creation for more complex projects.

Safe operation of the Shapeoko CNC router
Securing materials and setting zero positions
Creating simple designs and toolpaths in Carbide Create
Executing a basic milling job
Understanding next steps for more advanced design work

Who Should Attend
MakeHaven members who want to get started with CNC milling. No previous CNC experience required, but completion of the online badge portion is mandatory before attending.
