Build & Badge: Prusa 3D Printers
This event is for MakeHaven members who have already completed the video and quiz portion of the 3D Printer Badge and are ready to move forward with hands-on learning. This event happens monthly, on the third Wednesday of each month (holidays notwithstanding).
What to Expect:
• A step-by-step guided introduction to MakeHaven’s 3D Printer Station, focusing on the safe and effective use of the printers.
• Hands-on practice creating a small, personalized 3D print, such as a name tag or keychain.
• A collaborative group setting that helps ease any nerves about using the machine.
• Completion of the in-person check-out portion of the 3D Printer Badge.
Skills You’ll Acquire:
• Safe setup and operation of MakeHaven’s 3D printers.
• Basics of preparing files for 3D printing and troubleshooting common issues.
• Confidence to independently use the 3D Printer Station for future projects.
What’s Provided:
• Guidance through the entire printing process, from setup to finished project.
• Materials for your small project, including printer filament.
• Expert instruction and tips to ensure success.
Who Should Attend:
• MakeHaven members who have completed the video and quiz portion of the 3D Printer Badge and are ready for the in-person check-out.
• Beginners or those looking for a friendly, supportive group setting to build their confidence.
