Unleash your creativity and dive into the colorful world of mosaics with our fun introductory class! Whether you're a complete beginner or have dabbled in glass mosaics before, this two-evening workshop is perfect for you. No prior skills are needed, though if you have some experience with glass cutting, that's a bonus.


What to Expect:
- Detailed guidance on mosaic design principles and techniques.
- Hands-on practice in mixing mortar, cutting glass, and embedding tiles.
- Expert tips on grouting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your coaster(s).

     Evening 1: Designing and Creating
In the first session, immerse yourself in the fundamentals of mosaic design. We'll begin with detailed design planning, covering various mosaic styles, composition techniques, and the interplay of colors and textures. Expert guidance will be provided as you learn to mix thinset mortar, cut stained glass, and skillfully embed your pieces into the substrate. This hands-on session sets the foundation for your artistic coaster creation.

     Evening 2: Grouting and Finishing
Return for the exciting conclusion of your coaster project. Once your mosaic pieces have dried, delve into the art of grouting. Learn about grout colors, mixing techniques, and the proper application process to achieve a polished, professional finish. By the end of the workshop, you'll proudly take home your completed mosaic coaster(s), showcasing your newfound skills and creativity.

- Mastery of mosaic design, including composition and color theory.
- Proficiency in handling thinset mortar and cutting stained glass.
- Techniques for grouting and finishing mosaic projects with precision.

Materials Provided:
All necessary materials will be provided, including stained glass, tiles, thinset mortar, grout, and tools.
