  • Jewelry Making Workbench Checkout Checklist
  • General Safety Measures
  • Ensure protective glasses are worn at all times when at the workbench.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings, avoiding accidental contact with other users or equipment.
  • Refrain from using the workbench when fatigued, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Remember to switch off all power tools immediately after use.
  • Promptly clean up spills to avoid accidents.
  • Workbench Cleanliness and Maintenance
  • After each use, clean the workbench surface using a damp cloth.
  • Return all tools and materials to their appropriate storage areas when finished.
  • Promptly report any workbench or equipment damage to a volunteer.
  • Workbench Area Orientation
  • Understand the layout of the workbench and its distinct areas.
  • Identify the locations of the first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency exits.
  • Be aware of safety features including proper ventilation, adequate lighting, and ergonomic setup.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Recognize the importance of appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and aprons.
