I created a basic lego stl file using fusion 360 and then imported that into Cura to create the gcode. I then uploaded that to OctoPrint to send to my home based Creality Ender printer, which failed repeatedly, and thus left me unable to print. (This is my husband's printer and he has only printed pre-made stl files.) Even though this all sounds like I must know what I'm doing, I'm only at the slightest edge of knowledge with every single step of the way, starting with fusion 360, so I'd love your guidance to help me better understand how all this works. I will bring my laptop, just in case we need to refer to the original fusion 360 file, as well as the stl file on a flashdrive. Adam introduced me to Fusion 360, so I may or may not have an original file to print. At the very least, I found a basic lego tutorial so I'll have that. IF a printer is not available, I'd be happy to pick your brain with Fusion 360. It's taking me way longer than it should to understand the most basic program organization, such as files and how to delete them. I eventually find my way around, but I'm clearly missing something. Anyway, Adam and I made a lot of progress on the doghouse in Fusion, and I'm looking forward to creating more projects in the future. Also, I'll be attending the NHPT Hardware Restoration lecture from 6-7, so I'll be down shortly thereafter. Thank you for your help! |
