Experimental Musical Instrument Workshop Part II

The Experimental Musical Instrument Workshop is a series of 2 workshops designed to:

  1. familiarize the attendee with the basics of sound (acoustics)
  2. teach basic workshop techniques like soldering
  3. assist the attendee in making contact microphones
  4. assist the attendee in making instruments (acoustic)
  5. (optional if there's interest) assist the attendee in making electronic instruments (circuit bending)

In Part II of this workshop, MakeHaven members Scott Petersen and Mike McKien, as well as Yale Music professor and all-around great guy Brian Kane will:

  • help you make the instrument we planned with you in Part I.
  • jam out with you on your new instruments in a "Perfect Circle" of experimental madness.

The $5 materials fee and RSVP from part I are good for part II.  If you didn't attend the first workshop, but are interested in attending this one, please email scacinto'at'gmail.com and we will see what we can work out.
