Learn diode basics.... The fundamental PN junction semiconductor.

This is a series of Electronic Basics from MakeHaven with Facilitator Rich (K1RSU). In these weekly ongoing discussions, learn how to build a simple AM radio with just two parts, two solder connections, can fit in an empty Ball Point Pen. Batteries not necessary. Antenna  and ground connection is required. It helps to be near an AM radio station... you can experiment. Hear voices and music from a tiny piece of a germanium crystal. The radio can be improved in later sessions, step by step. Just two parts, both are crystals. And available on eBay, Amazon, MakeHaven, and from Rich.. Maybe you too will discover the Magical Enchantment of Electronics....

Presentations and Experiments will vary from week to week, for the sole purpose of touching on various electronic principles.

No experience necessary!

This will be a presentation, with questions and answers. Rich will show you where you can get the parts and how to get started and how to do it.

Rich (K1RSU) and Brenda (KW1YL) are available in MakeHaven's Facilitator room on Monday, and Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
